2015

Led a crowdsourcing project (with Christopher Linghein He) to translate Chinese environmental documentary Under the Dome, by journalist Chai Jing, into several languages.
Founded Connext Events, an organization that connects Chinese teenagers in tech. We held our first event in Beijing at Beihang University’s auditorium. (Bureaucracy in Chinese academia, you win.)
Attended AOSCC 2015 (Anthon Open Source Community Conference) in Shenzhen.
2016

Coordinated Connext’s second event in Hangzhou at a 36Kr incubator. As a minor, I was (unsurprisingly) turned away from a hotel that my friend Wu Ziqian had booked, partly due to tightened regulations during the G20 conference.
2017

I did an internship with Xitu Inc. in Beijing over the summer, where I helped Chinese software developers get involved in open source communities.
2018
TechNode published by op-ed on China’s mobile payment ecosystem. I started writing for media and got to meet a bunch of awesome people in China-related journalism and policymaking.
2019

Freelanced for a number of outlets before I went back to Beijing from the U.S. for an internship at Caixin Global, where I wrote for CX Live, the real-time news section now rebranded as CX Tech. I spent most of my lunch breaks eating Lanzhou beef noodles.
